THE BEATLES "THE BEATLES"
PARLOPHONE RECORDS PMC 7067 / 7068
ORIGINAL 1968 PRESSING
Matrix nos end: -1 / -1 and -1 / -1
**********************************************************
This release from the Beatles is renowned, though with every new record, they were groundbreaking.
This LP is a special album of BEATLES recordings, and was the follow-up to the brilliant "SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND" ...and at a time when they were no longer touring or playing live - or actually even convening to compose together.
A strong album in Stereo by this time, produced by George Martin.
The four musicians were working quite separately at times, mostly on their own individual compositions.
George has some outstanding tunes on these discs, indeed. Paul played some acoustic pieces.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades nice EX overall, except for a line at the beginning of side 1, and a small chip out on side 4 in 'Good Night' (unfortunately this spoils the delicate and sweet song).
APPLE RECORDS Lables are EXCELLENT, no stains, stickers or pen. Disc two hasn't the "EMI Recording" legend.
The TOP OPENING CUSTOM GATEFOLD Garrod & Lofthouse glossy cover is bright and clean VG++. Light wear, some small damage areas to the laminate by the opening.
The BLACK INNER COVERS are included, - however the photos and lyrics poster are missing.
See pictures.
