From my PERSONAL Collection - bought used, and just played on my new Denon turntable.
Yeah - I was big into Quad in the day - had the top of the line JVC QUAD receiver, four Advents and two turntables - one just for quad - and a quad reel-to-reel tape deck...
I rate/price these LPs on sound mostly - then cover, inserts, LP sleeve, etc. I care about the sound the most.
I've cleaned these LPs with my discwasher and Zerostat - if you need more than that, you have some dirty LPs!
I'll be listing my entire Quad Collection (about 90), as I record them - some fairly rare ones in the mix... Look out occasionally for new listings.
Some very rare ones indeed!
Original 1974 US LP on WARNER RECORDS DEEP PURPLE "Stormbringer" PRQ-34261
This is a QUADRAPHONIC pressing CD-4
Vinyl: VG+, both sides - Look Very Good. Cover: in good condition - see photos. Sleeve: Original LP sleeve - slight split. I will note any issues I heard below:
Side #1: Very little surface noise - a bit in-between songs or real quite parts.... Side #2: A bit more surface noise than side #1, but nothing major - maybe the passages are quieter on these tracks?
Records have been cleaned, sleeved, play tested and protected in an outer sleeve. I pack carefully and ship in a new or used, but in good shape, LP mailer with the LP outside the original cover.
The record play through fine - NO SKIPS! If you have some pop/click software or maybe a better cleaning, will reduce the amount of noise.
These results are on my equipment. You may or may not hear the same.
