From my PERSONAL Collection - bought NEW, and just played on my new Denon turntable.
Yeah - I was big into Quad in the day - had the top of the line JVC receiver, four Advents and two turntables - one just for quad - and a quad reel-to-reel tape deck.
I rate/price LPs on sound mostly - then cover, inserts, LP sleeve, etc. I care about the sound the most.
I've cleaned this LP with my Discwasher and Zerostat.
I'll be listing my entire Quad Collection (about 60), as I record them. Look out occasionally for new listings.
Some very rare ones indeed!
Original 1971 US LP on RCA RECORDS HARRY NILSSON "NILSSON SCHMILSSON" APD1-0319
This is a QUADRAPHONIC pressing CD-4
Bought new - back in the 70's - this disc has been to DEEEtroit, Dallas, SanFran, back to Dallas, to Grand Rapids, then Philly, then back to Dallas, then Cincy, to Macomb Township (suburb of DEEEtroit) and now resides in Caseville, MI. This may be the FOURTH Quad LP I ever bought.
Played maybe 10 times....
Vinyl: EX, both sides. Cover: in Excellent condition - see photos. LP Sleeve: Original LP sleeve, in Very Good shape. Notes on sound below:
Side #1: VERY quiet throughout - NO pops/clicks during the entire side. Side #2: VERY quiet. Next-to-no surface noise except for a click or two on the last track - can't see anything on the vinyl.
This is one unbelievable example of this LP - WOW!
LPs have been cleaned, sleeved, play tested and protected in an outer sleeve. I pack carefully and ship in a new or used (but in good shape) LP mailer with the LP outside the original cover.
The LP play through fine - NO SKIPS!
These results are on my equipment. You may or may not hear the same.
