This is an overall fine original U.S. pressing copy of a 1987 comp box of tracks from a documentary about the music scene in Athens, GA, in the mid-'80s. The launching pad for R.E.M. and the B-52s, Athens was the home to a number of other less well known (and more or less unknown) groups. The B52s are missing from this collection (though they appear in the film), but R.E.M. contributes two tracks (one a cover of the Everly Brothers song, "(All I've Got to Do Is) Dream"), and well loved local groups Pylon, Love Tractor, Dreams So Real, and others are also here. The jacket looks fine overall, but does have a couple of notable flaws: some creasing mostly around the edges, and residue from a sticker on the back cover. It also has some light wear -- overall VG+. There are two small stickers on the front cover and a promo stamp on the back cover. The disc is clean with a few fingerprints and some light scuffing, and it plays with a little light surface noise (M-). The record comes with a company inner sleeve.
I’m helping a friend sell his personal collection. I have play graded (spot checked) discs. The jackets will be shipped in plastic sleeves with the discs removed from them.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
