A special edition of Britney's third studio album simply titled "Britney" on yellow vinyl. Originally released in 2001, the disc contained material designed to help the artist abandon her youthful style in favor of a more feminine one. A mix of different musical styles such as pop, R&B, EDM, disco, hip hop, rock and electro was supposed to help.
Britney again debuted at the top of the list of best-selling albums in the United States, selling more than 746,000 copies in its first week. Internationally, in turn, the album sold more than 10-million copies, guaranteeing her the title of one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century. In 2003, Britney was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Pop Vocal Album" category.
The material was promoted by a total of six singles "I'm a Slave 4 U," "Overprotected," "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman," "I Love Rock'N'Roll," "Boys (Co-Ed Remix) (feat. Pharrell Williams)" and "Anticipating."
