“Ágætis Byrjun” is Sigur Rós’ third studio album, originally released in 1999. Named in part after a sister of one of the bandmembers, Reykjavik, Iceland's Sigur Rós was formed by guitarist and vocalist Jón Þór Birgisson, bassist Georg Holm, and drummer Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson. Formed in early 1994 while the members were teenagers, the trio's first recorded song earned them a deal with Iceland's Bad Taste label.

“Ágætis Byrjun" is one of Sigur Rós' best bodies of work to date, with many fan favourite songs on the album such as “Starálfur,” and “Olsen Olsen” This album is a must have for any fan of the space rock scene.

Our shipping costs are kept to the lowest possible amount so we reserve the right to combine any items purchased in the same transaction and we are unable to refund any partial shipping when this takes place.

 

International shipping costs from Australia can be expensive so please refer to the postage tab within the listing for costs.

Payment is required in full within 5 business days of purchase (unless agreed otherwise) and purchases will be shipped within 2 business days from receipt of payment confirmation.

Australian buyers: PayPal (eCheque payment subject to clearance).  Domestic shipping is via Australia Post (or other carrier as required) by either eParcel, Registered or Receipted postage.  Shipping within Australia is usually 1-5 business days from dispatch.  Please note, we are unable to offer an Express Post service.
