Directly below is from Discogs relative to this release (as opposed to the first pressing with the Blue OBI).
This is the late 1985 / early 1986 subsequent design obi strip issue
that comes with white obi strip and a 4 page insert with liner notes by
Hisayuki Azuma along with the Japanese lyrics. The outer pages are
parallel(color photos, English lyrics/credits) to the US and other
country releases that use paper inner sleeve bags The obi
mentions the No. 1 position in the US album chart (happened in December
1985) and the Platinum Disc certification (happened in late September,
1985). That probably puts this release to sometime in 1986. However, the
packaging only shows the original release date (August 22, 1985).
Vinyl was play tested through Focal Elegia's and it played overall as NM-/EX+ (the EX+ tracks were A4, B2 and B3 with B1 playing more as straight EX with what sounded like two missed dust flecks, there was one on A2 as well). Visually it looks NM- anyway (there are spindle marks which is a bit surprising but only on angles) however based on the play the vinyl is scored as EX.
The sleeve is scored as EX as well, more like EX- but 100% better than VG+. There is a 6mm impression on the bottom left corner along with a bit of wear. The other corners show lesser wear. Most noticeably and I couldn't catch it in the pictures there is an impression of the single title Never/These Dreams along with the Japanese writing (it's within Nancy's legs). It looks like what happened maybe was a piece of paper was right over this spot and this text was being copied, there is no ink and the impression is super faint, I almost missed it. Beyond that there is a crease within the same bottom right area running 54mm along with a grab pinch on the opening seam 38mm. Beyond that there is light ring wear on angles. Running in from the spine a few faint creases as well however I can't move the OBI over to determine the lengths. The insert shows some light wrinkle wear. Straight on it looks better and numerically it's a solid 84.
Album will be mailed in a cardboard mailer between cardboard with bubble wrap. If you have any questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
