This a record that is a perfect example of what's happening in the vinyl renaissance of the past decade. It is on 180gm vinyl, and that makes a big difference in the quality of the sound. It is half speed mastered which makes the record sound like a living breathing presence in the room. I never heard music sound this good during the 60s/70s/80s in vinyl, and certainly not during the ridiculous compact disc era when these recordings were slapped into a digital framework the I Love Lucy candy production line- it eats! Freddie is in the room. Being someone listening to records for over fifty years, these new release are beyond belief every time I listen. Then when you have a band that sounds as big as Queen, it is overwhelming- in the nicest way!
