Up for consideration is a very hard to find issue of Horace Silver album “Silver’s Blue”. Reason being this is an original 1956 record that is marked “not for sale” on the Epic white label #LN 3336. It also has the number XEM 39129 printed on the label above the not for sale designation. I played both sides of the record and it sounded real good, hardly any crackling or popping. I try to be conservative with the rating. Reason for vg+ is there are some marks that do not affect play. The cover does have seam splits on all sides but the cover is still in tact. If you’re a jazz fan and like Horace Silver I would not pass this up. I’ve yet to see a promo of this album.
