"Several (...) composers wrote pieces for [Alfred A. Kalmus'] 80th Birthday. The first performance, with the collective title "A Garland For Dr. K.", took place in London on April 22, 1969 at Queen Elisabeth Hall in London. The works are now published on record. We are happy that this publication coinsides with the Universal Edition's 75th anniversary, for the life-work of Dr. Kalmus is inseparable from the history of the publishing house."
