NOTE:  We obtain all label images by using a scanner.  Any fine white horizontal lines visible in the image are the result of scratches on the scanner glass.  They are NOT a defect on the record.

Comments: This is a European Pathe which is center start and vertical cut.  Make sure you have the playback equipment to handle this unique record before bidding!     Charlie Straight provides a hot piano accompaniment on both sides, although he is credited only on side 2.  However, the matrix numbers on both ides are adjacent (92135 / 92136), so I think it is safe to assume that Charlie plays on both sides.  A lovely example of British Ragtime!

Featured This Week:   During the first decade of the last century (1900 - 1910) The Victor Talking Machine Company, The Columbia Graphophone Company, and many others smaller companies produced an amazing amount of records - everything from Ragtime to Grand Opera.  So, while digging through our warehouse recently, we were quite surprised and pleased to find several boxes of Victor Monarch and Grand Prize 10" records from this era.  The unique thing about this collection is the uniform condition of the records - almost almost all of them are in Very Good to Excellent condition - most unusual for records 110 - 120 years old!  Also, the collection includes lots of popular songs of the era, sung by many of your favorite artists.  We thought you might enjoy looking (and hopefully bidding) on them, so we'll list them one a day until they are all gone.
