Hello! This is an auction for a copy of "Yesterday"... And Today by The Beatles on Capitol, catalogue number T-2553. This is a 2nd State Butcher Cover, meaning that the trunk slick is still present, but the infamous "Butcher Cover" is underneath. This has been 100% verified... besides the "V" of Ringo's neckline being clearly visible, the bottom of the Butcher slick can be clearly seen sticking out from under the trunk slick. No attempt has been made to peel the trunk slick off whatsoever, meaning that taking this copy to a professional would result in a peel that would display exceptionally well. That said... this cover isn't perfect. The spine is split and has been taped at least twice. The current tape isn't over the trunk slick at all and was done neatly, but an older tape job was done horizontally across the spine, leaving tape staining. Although this wouldn't be visible on the front if the trunk slick were removed, the staining would remain on the back. The bottom seem is split, but has been taped on the inside. The top seem has some splitting but has been left alone because it's holding up quite well. The record is included but has scuffs and scratches. If you're looking to pick up a 2nd State Butcher Cover for a decent price due to condition issues that would be almost completely invisible after it was professionally peeled and put in a frame... I mean, kinda harder to do better than this. These 2nd States are getting harder and harder to find, and the demand keeps rising. Good luck!
