Up for sale is an original pressing from 1967 of The Kinks, Something Else By The Kinks, studio album on PYE records. NPL 18193 Mono.
For those in the know, this is quite a rare LP these days on the original release. Just too many classic Kinks tracks on this, including David Watts, Death of a Clown (Dave Davis solo release) Afternoon Tea, and of course the sublime Waterloo Sunset, making the original released prised amongst fans and collectors.
Sleeve - In good solid condition. some rubbing / ring wear to the silver print. This record sleeve is unlaminated and is always susceptible to some degree of rub-off. Some creasing to the board to the bottom front and rear corner. The spine is not 100% readable so please see the images and judge for yourself. There is a piece of the 'flip back' missing to the bottom rear of the sleeve and the price? is written on the top rear corner. Not at all bad for a nearly 60 year old record sleeve.
The inner sleeve - Original 'onion skin' with some odd writing on one side (looks like EEC RDSA?).
Labels - Clean and unmarked (some spindle marks as expected)
Vinyl - Plays really well with some background crackle and light clicks here and there. Namely, a repetitive tick at the beginning of David Watts. Doesn't detract from the reproduction of the music. Cosmetic marking to the vinyl in the form of light scuffs and light scratches. No jumps, skips or nasty pops. None of the marks are what I would call feelable. Generally clean and shiny, please see the images, I have tried to capture the cosmetic condition best I can.
Please study the images for condition and feel free to ask any questions.
This has been in my collection and has therefore been played by myself numerous times, so I can vouch for the condition. Just getting rid of some 'placeholders' and doubles.
Sensible start price with no reserve.
Please study the images. Thanks for looking.
