THE BEATLES – HEYJUDE
MEGA RARE DARK APPLEEXPORT PRESSING WITH ‘REVOLUTIONS’ ERROR!
On offer here is acopy of the Beatles UK export copy of the album, 'Hey Jude'. This isthe 2nd pressing on the Dark Apple logo. This is the exceptionallyrare and highly collectible error pressing that incorrectly spellsthe song title 'REVOLUTION' as 'REVOLUTIONS', and also has the spacein the word 'PAPERBACK'.
Hey Jude was originally issued in America in 1970. EMI in the UKalso ran off a small number of copies specifically for export, givingthe release it's own unique EMI catalogue number, but with a Cprefix, indicating a Capitol release.
Now, these dark Apple export copies are, in themselves, verydifficult to find (the vast majority of copies are on the later, light Apple label). However, two errors crept onto the label duringproduction which were very swiftly spotted and corrected. Firstly, the song 'PAPERBACK WRITER' gained an erroneous space and became'PAPER BACK WRITER' and the song 'REVOLUTION' gained an S, becoming'REVOLUTIONS'. Like I said, these mistakes werre almost immediatelyspotted and corrected, but not until a tiny amount crept past qualitycontrol.
Hey Jude was originally released in America in 1970, and EMI UKproduced these copies specifically for export for foreign countriesdue to demand. These featured EMI / Parlophone catalogue numbers butwith a C prefix at the start, indicating a Capitol release. Theseonly had a very limited press run and, today, are highly collectible!
The original dark Apple export copies are rare in themselves, butto find them with both of these errors on the label is nearimpossible!

MyVinyl Grading:
MINT- No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade adisc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINTdescription will only be for records I personally know have neverbeen played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies thatare still sealed.
NEARMINT (NM) - For discs that look near flawless and which may have justthe slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there.
EXCELLENT(EX) - For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but doeshave some light scuffs here and there.
VERYGOOD (VG) - For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine tothem, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some lightscratches.
GOOD(G) - For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fairamount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle.
FAIR(F) - For discs that may have some life left in them but are prettytrashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratchesetc
POOR(P) - For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed.Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanelyrare.
