Shelly Manne & His Men “Swinging Sounds Vol 4” 1956 first deep groove pressing Contemporary Records (# C 3516 mono) in a cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Excellent (EX). It plays very well with nice fidelity and no ticks & hardly any background noise. Visually, the album is exceptionally clean - looking close to new. The following is on the runout groove:
Side A): (stamped) LKL•12•75•D4 H
Side B): (stamped) LKL-12-76-D4 1 H
The outer case is Very Good Plus (VG+). The front cover is clean, smooth & vibrant with some minor age wear. The back cover is smooth & clean with some age wear and mild staining at the top. The spine has a tight ~6” split in the middle and the paper has worn off at the top for ~2”. The top seam has a few minor dings and no splits. The bottom seam is EX with hardly any wear and no splits. The cover is very sturdy. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.
