Wow, what a fascinating item this is ! It is the first CARBON COPY of a union recording session contract on July 24th 1974 for the song ‘ So Long Ago’ the title was then soon changed to ‘ Number 9 Dream’. This was for the Walls And Bridges album.

The session musicians were May Pang , Jesse Ed Davis and Jim Keltner. Jesse and Jim were also friends of Lennon. May Pang as we all know was John’s girlfriend during his 18 month estrangement from Yoko Ono.

John has signed on behalf of Apple Records Inc/ Capital Records.

May Pang was the designated leader and gives her address as 8122 West 4th Street, Los Angeles. c/o Hughes.

This address is where former Beatles road manager Mal Evans was tragically shot and killed by Los Angeles police officers after an altercation. Fran Hughes was Mal’s girlfriend. This happened on 5th January 1976.

The copy contract is in good condition and measures 13” x 8.5”.
