Red Garland Trio “Red In Bluesville” 1959 first DG pressing Prestige Records NJ label (# PRLP 7157 mono) in a laminate cardboard sleeve. The “dime sized”, 21mm indentation surrounding the B side spindle indicates an Abbey Mfg pressing. The record grading is Excellent (EX). Both sides play great with robust fidelity. Visually, the vinyl is clean & glossy with a few faint surface marks. The following is on the runout grooves:
Side A): (etched) PRLP-7157.A (stamped) RVG
Side B): (etched) PRLP-7157.B (stamped) RVG
The outer case is Very Good Plus (VG+). The front cover laminate is clean, glossy and smooth with no marks. The back cover has mild age wear, a couple of small stains & a small ink stamp in the upper left-hand corner. The top seam has 2 tiny dings; the bottom seam just shows some wear. The spine has a 1-½” “crack” in the middle - that is the only defect; otherwise the cover is EX. There are no splits and it is very sturdy. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.
