Miles Davis with Herbie Hancock & George Coleman “Seven Steps to Heaven” 1963 first Pitman pressing Columbia Records 2-eye label (# CS 8851 stereo) in a cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Excellent (EX). Both sides were fully play tested and played great with no ticks nor skips. Visually, the surfaces are exceptionally clean & glossy with no visible marks. The following is on the runout groove:
Side A): (stamped) 0 XSM59704-1AF P C
Side B): (stamped) 0 XSM59705-1D P C
NOTES:
* This is an original US stereo release on red Columbia ‘two eye’ label.
* Columbia labels with nonbreakable to left of center hole.
* '360 Sound' in black print at bottom.
* No printer number printed in lower right corner on back of sleeve.
* "P" is etched on both sides to indicate that the record is a Pitman press release.
The outer case is Very Good (VG). The front cover is clean, smooth & vibrant with barely any wear/marks - EX. The back cover just has small staining in the upper right-hand corner. The top seam is split 3” at the opening. The spine and bottom seam are EX with no splits. The cover is sturdy. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.
