Miles Davis with George Coleman & Herbie Hancock “Miles Davis In Europe” 1964 first Pitman pressing Columbia Records 2-eye label (# CS 8983 stereo) in a cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Very Good (VG). This is only due to a scratch on Side 2/track 1 (shown in photos), towards the end, at the beginning of the piano solo, where it produces a ~4-minute tick - at times it is faint, but it’s there. The remainder of the album plays VG+ to EX with minimal, faint background noise in softer passages. Visually, the surfaces are very clean & glossy with few marks. The following is on the runout groove:
Side A): (etched) XSM 76913-2AC
Side B): (stamped) o XSM-76914-2B P
NOTES:
* Recorded Live At The Antibes International Jazz Festival - Juan-Les-Pins, 1963.
* Two white "walking" eyes. Red 1964 Columbia black "360 SOUND" STEREO with black arrows and "nonbreakable" left of spindle hole.
* P in run out matrix indicates that this release was pressed at the Pitman Columbia Records Pressing Plant.
The outer case is Excellent (EX). The covers are very clean and smooth & vibrant with barely any wear. The spine and both seams are NM with only a tiny faint stain on the top seam at the opening. There are no splits and the cover is very sturdy. (all reflected in the photos) All sales final.
