DEEP PURPLE, THE BOOK OF TALIESYN, UK HARVEST LP, MID 70s REISSUE, HARD ROCK, EX
Deep Purple – The Book Of Taliesyn (12” LP)
Deep Purple are an English rock band formed in London in 1968. They are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, although their musical style has varied throughout their career. Originally formed as a psychedelic rock and progressive rock band, they shifted to a heavier sound with their 1970 album Deep Purple in Rock. Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-seventies”.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or
records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also
covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no
lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear
and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no
major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the
occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,
without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably
deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and
contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration,
etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and
displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents
will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise,
etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a
collection-filler.
