Al Wilson’s “The Snake” is perhaps THE most played Northern Soul oldie ever! It first came to prominence at Manchesters’ famed Twisted Wheel Club and is now embedded in the scene along with patches, talcum powder and baggy trousers. It has graced many a TV and film soundtrack and is currently on rotation in every TK Maxx store in the country. Love it, hate it, you can’t ignore it!
