Description:
Last year I purchased the remaining stock from a few distros and record stores that closed down. Now I have too many boxes of 7"s. I am offering this lot of 25 EPs at a reduced price with free Media Mail shipping in the US. The bands play various forms of hardcore punk. These records would make a great addition to your collection.

THE ANGRIES / HOORAY FOR EVERYTHING 7" (2011 Self-released) This is a DIY project featuring two female-fronted bands firmly rooted in their punk rock lineages, while emulating no one. Oakland CA's HFE are melodic and catchy -- yet dark, reminiscent of bands such as the Wipers and Husker Du -- playing in the post-punk vein at times. Members of Hooray For Everything have previously and currently play in other bands like Resist, Annihilation Time, Drain the Sky, and The Grups. Corvallis, OR's Angries are intense and frantic, threatening to come unglued, with jagged guitar lines and a hardcore mindset. Angries lyrics on these tracks focus on personal and political feminist issues. Both bands are currently making the rounds up and down the west coast and plan to unleash themselves across the country in the future. Limited to 500 copies on purple splatter vinyl and includes download.

ANODYNE - Berkowitz 7" (2001 Alone Records AL-015) Noisy math hardcore from Boston.

BEHEAD THE PROPHET NLSL - Making Craters Where Buildings Stood 7" (1999 Sound Pollution Records POLLUTE:047) Noisy, discordant harcore from Olympia, WA.

BREAD AND WATER / REASON OF INSANITY - Split 7" (2000 Burrito Records 14) Reason of Insanity Play fast aggressive hardcore without losing that toe tapping quality. The vocals are brutal and harsh, and their artwork is classic cut and paste punk. Bread And Water have political lyrics and they play straight forward hardcore with a bit of melody. Their main vocalist is a woman, and her voice is supplemented by the occasional burst of distorted growling.

CARDIAC ARREST - Life's A Dead End 7" (2006 Grave Mistake Records GRAVE016) Brand new EP from these Midwest ragers! On their second EP, St. Louis' CARDIAC ARREST deliver six more ripping tracks of fast and pissed hardcore, reminiscent of early Boston bands like NEGATIVE FX or the F.U.s. Clocking in six songs at approximately six minutes, this EP will have you floored before you even realize what hit you. Short, fast, raw, abrasive and in your face, exactly how hardcore was meant to be played.

CONDEMNED UNIT 7" (2008 Burnt Bridges Records) Crossover/thrash from Austin TX.

DON JUAN MATUS / OXIDO 7" (2012 Wardance WAR 13) At the end of the day, heavy is heavy, and that’s something Oxido and Don Juan Matus certainly have in common. The 7? was released on New York’s Wardance Records, owned by Freddy Alva (he of Last Cause and the much-heralded 1989 New Breed NYHC compilation; not a bad endorsement to have), and finds the two bands united by that underlying love of classic heaviness. Oxido may move faster and Don Juan Matus‘ prominent organ keeps them well aligned to ’70s rock one way or another, but both “El Angel de la Muerte” and “Kadath” are imbued with a guitar-driven righteousness, whether it comes in the form of the chugging gallop of the former or the lumbering largess of the latter.

FLYING SNAKES - Despondency 7" (2011 No Reprieve Records NPR-04) Metallic crusty punks from St Petersburg, FL. On splatter wax.

HALLRAKER - She 7" (1998 Phyte Records PY-009) Hardcore from Mass.

THE HEADS ARE ZEROS - All The Men I Love Are Dead 7" (2014 Fake Crab Records FC-004) The Baltimore based trio have just released their debut EP, ‘All The Men I Love Are Dead’, and it’s an absolute blinder. Their sound is brash, chaotic, and almost unbearably visceral, whilst containing enough light-speed intricacies to satisfy all you tech nerds out there. There are similarities to Cloud Rat’s passionate, cathartic grind assault, but with a healthy dose of head-spinning, Daughters-esque math-core madness thrown in for good measure, and man, does it work well! Like all the best technical bands however, The Heads Are Zeros are less concerned with displays of virtuosity than they are peeling back the top layer of your skull and short circuiting your brain with the most anarchic and disorientating riffs they can muster.

HELLO FEVER - Hot Communication 7" (2005 Sound Virus SND VRS 21) Hello Fever is a three piece minimal post-punk band from Los Angeles. Consisting of a female rhythm section as well as male/female vocals, Hello Fever are melodic and dark, while maintaining a direct but angular style. Their sound references such bands as Blondie and Psychedelic Furs. This single is their debut release, as well as, a precursor to their full length LP/CD coming later on Sound Virus.

KONTAMINAT 7" (2014 Lengua Armada Discos) Debut 7" from this new-ish hardcore band from Chicago featuring one of the guys from Chronic Seizure. It's just a total hardcore rager... the vox sound kind of like 86 Mentality, the music is all meat and potatoes USHC (no real oi! influence), and there are some freaky lead guitars that pop up in weird places... those are its distinctive sonic features, but the most important thing is that this bad boy rages like few other bands out there these days.

KONTRAATTAQUE - Luchas Tragedias E Historias De Nuestra Gente 7" (1999 El Grito 03) Pissed political hardcore from Los Angeles. Comes with 20-page booklet.

LACK OF INTEREST / WEEKEND NACHOS 7" (2012 Deep Six Records #174) Fast hardcore from Los Angeles and fast hardcore from Chicago.

LUX VANITAS - The Mysterious And Deadly 7" (1996 Paralogy PLGY-02) Ex-IMPETUS INTER. Hardcore from Albany NY

MIDDLE CLASS TRASH - Side Effects EP (2009 Sixty Nine Apple Recordings BIM-001) Awesome mid-tempo punk rock with influences apparently including everything from the Adolescents to the Ramones to DRI! Non-stupid political lyrics! I know I like something when I immediately want to see the band in a crowded basement show while slightly drunk and dance-y!

MY RIFLE 7" (2011 Wardance WAR10) Ex-members of LIFE'S BLOOD / OUR GANG / ALTERCATION. 500 copies on clear wax.

NO SYSTEM - Dead Bands Tell No Tales 7" (2009 No Way Records NW-33) No System were a Boston, MA hardcore band from the mid-'80s and featured Al Quint of Suburban Voice fanzine fame on vocals and members of PTL Klub on the instruments. They used a style similar to the earlier Boston bands like DYS, Deep Wound and FUs, and on this recording, did a cover of the classic Discharge song "Doomsday."

RUNE 7" (2000 Clean Plate Records CP 33) Technical grind band from Ohio.

SAKE - The Desert 7" (1997 Hopscotch Records #8) Hardcore punk from Eureka CA.

SPLITTING HEADACHE - The World's My Aim 7" (2007 Chainsaw Safety CS 028) SPLITTING HEADACHE combines the classic elements of West Coast punk /hardcore with the despondent sound of the Midwest early 80s sound. Six new songs about everything that’s not right in this world: and that’s just about everything!

STRONG AS TEN - Test Pressing 7" (2013 Shogun Records 55) Fast hardcore from France similar to ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT

THE TRANSITIONS 7" (2014 Rebel Sound REB1033) The Transitions are a 3 piece band from Melbourne, Australia playing late 70's and early 80's UK style punk and post punk with a dash of 80's Australian rock/pop. Fans of Australian Oi! may recognize the vocals as none other than Al from Marching Orders and RazorCut. The music of the Transitions is heavily influenced by The Damned, The Buzzcocks, Warsaw, Joy Division, The Chameleons, Boys Next Door, Accent(UK), Wire, and TSOL. Sealed.

V/A : Tomorrow Will Be Worse Vol 4 3x7" (2005 Sound Pollution Records POLLUTE 088) Compilation with VOETSEK, NO VALUE, THE SPROUTS, RUNNAMUCKS, THREATENER, and FASTS. 29 songs on colored wax.

V/A : Deadly Sins 4x7" (Hater Of God 13) Each of the four 7"s are pressed on black vinyl, and then housed in a massive book with some gloss overlays on the outer cover; and certain pages acting as sleeves for the records. Each contributing band represents one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and there are some added pages on cream colored stock at the end of the book that provide extensive texts from some of the bands commenting on 'religion'. From the dissonant metallic power of The Black Hand and Catharsis, to the more classically hardcore Ruination, the chaotic bent of Unruh, Kill the Man Who Questions' hardcore/punk stylings, as well as the mighty Damad and a set of covers from MK-Ultra.—There's definitely a good variety of aggressive music herein, from bands that are largely political charged—all unique, yet still tied together by a common thread at the roots. Cover has a scratch.

Item Condition:
The records are all new and unplayed. They have been languishing in distro boxes for years and have some edge wear (especially at the top) and minor corner bends. Price stickers (if any) are on the plastic sleeve, not the cover.
Some of these records come with download codes. Even though the codes have never been used, the website (like the band or the label) may be long gone.
