Description:
Last year I purchased the remaining stock from a few distros and record stores that closed down. Now I have too many boxes of 7"s. I am offering this lot of 20 EPs at a reduced price with free Media Mail shipping in the US. The bands play various forms of grind and hardcore punk. These records would make a great addition to your collection.
ANODYNE - Berkowitz 7" (2001 Alone Records AL-015) Noisy math hardcore from Boston.
ASSAULT - Martyrdom 7" (2001 Partners In Crime PIC SIX)Slightly metallic hardcore from Japan
BEHEAD THE PROPHET NLSL - Making Craters Where Buildings Stood 7" (1999 Sound Pollution Records POLLUTE:047) Noisy, discordant harcore from Olympia, WA.
BLOODY PHOENIX / QUESTION 7" (2012 Six Weeks SW-122) A true outburst of unrepentant musical destruction! BLOODY PHOENIX, L.A.’s harbingers of pure, true grindcore return with three sonic blasts of grind-crust. A megaton explosion of ugly politics, blast beats and mayhem. QUESTION have uprooted hardcore in the last couple of years with their screaming brand of in your face punk. Ripping fast hardcore punk played with insane energy, this band is pretty much an unstoppable barrage of fury and venom. Cover has a corner bend on the upper left.
BREAD AND WATER / REASON OF INSANITY - Split 7" (2000 Burrito Records 14) Reason of Insanity Play fast aggressive hardcore without losing that toe tapping quality. The vocals are brutal and harsh, and their artwork is classic cut and paste punk. Bread And Water have political lyrics and they play straight forward hardcore with a bit of melody. Their main vocalist is a woman, and her voice is supplemented by the occasional burst of distorted growling.
DANGUR 7" (2008 Shock To The System SHOCK007) This is the debut release from Massachusette's DANGUR. Recorded after a demo and a self released 7", "kick the bucket" mixes "feel the darkness" era POISON IDEA with some major stoner parts for good measure. Gruff vocals, and tons of guitar work over a tight rhythm section. Recommended for fans of ANNIHILATION TIME, DOOMRIDERS and even BLACK SABBATH. Purple marble wax.
DEFEATIST - In Praise Of False Hope 7" (2007 Chainsaw Safety Records CS026V) This is intense grindcore from ex members of ANODYNE and KALIBAS. Short fast and powerful is the method of their songwriting and it comes across. Nothing gives me a bigger boner than coming across a record that totally flat-out destroys. I was not that familiar with this band, though with a name like Defeatist, I was hoping it was going to rock out a little bit from the get-go, but I didn't have a clue. I think I can honestly say this is the best 7" I've heard in six months. Non-stop jugular attack set to strangle the life out of you. Buzzsaw guitars, plummeting drumming and flesh-searing vokills. Nice and simplistic silk-screened cover and beautiful black vinyl make this package complete. With all of the trouble and delays In Praise of False Hope endured, it was well worth the wait. Defeatist is the band most bands wish they could be
DEVOID OF FAITH - Denial By Machinery 7" (2001 Paralogy PLGY 007) Fierce Albany HC. They shared members with MONSTER X, HAIL MARY, LIMP WRIST, JOHN BROWN'S ARMY, and DAS OATH. Clear red wax.
DON JUAN MATUS / OXIDO 7" (2012 Wardance WAR 13) At the end of the day, heavy is heavy, and that’s something Oxido and Don Juan Matus certainly have in common. The 7? was released on New York’s Wardance Records, owned by Freddy Alva (he of Last Cause and the much-heralded 1989 New Breed NYHC compilation; not a bad endorsement to have), and finds the two bands united by that underlying love of classic heaviness. Oxido may move faster and Don Juan Matus‘ prominent organ keeps them well aligned to ’70s rock one way or another, but both “El Angel de la Muerte” and “Kadath” are imbued with a guitar-driven righteousness, whether it comes in the form of the chugging gallop of the former or the lumbering largess of the latter.
EVOLVED TO OBLITERATION 7" (1996 Clean Plate 11) Classic 1990s CA hardcore / power violence with Max from Spazz on vocals. Colored wax.
EXTORTION / AGENTS OF ABHORRENCE - Split 7" (2008 Deep Six Records #111) Two Australian hardcore/powerviolence terrors team up on this awesome split 7”! Not for the weak! On clear blue wax.
INFANTICIDE - Sonic Punishment 7" (2008 625 #216) Some of the most ferocious Scandanavian grindcore you have ever heard. Seriously unrelenting blastcore that puts to shame the current tech-grind trends. 10 songs of total obliteration that recalls the classics of grind - includes a brutal UNSEEN TERROR cover.
MAINSTRIKE / DEVOID OF FAITH - Live 7" (1999 Paralogy PLGY-06) Devoid Of Faith does three tracks recorded live on WRPI radio in Troy, NY while Mainstrike does three tracks recorded live at a club in Amhem, Netherlands. Brutal hardcore from Devoid of Faith and more youth crew influenced hardcore from Mainstrike.
MELLOW HARSHER 7" (2012 625 Thrashcore #242 / Give Praise Records GPR: 89) Mellow Harsher is a maniacal grind-violence outfit from Madison, Wisconsin. These bastards spit out unrelenting guitar and bass riffs accompanied with insanely fast drum work and ridiculously ferocious vocal growls and shrieks. This is a vinyl pressing of their demo. Members also play(ed) in SFN and Copeater.
OTOPHOBIA - Source Of Confusion 7" (1999 Burrito Records #11) Originally from Atlanta, Georgia Otophobia eventually moved their mix of grindcore and crust to Philadelphia, PA. Some of the memebers eventually went on to form Endless Nightmare.
RUNE 7" (2000 Clean Plate Records CP 33) Technical grind band from Ohio. White wax.
SAKE - The Desert 7" (1997 Hopscotch Records #8) Hardcore punk from Eureka CA.
SPLITTING HEADACHE - The World's My Aim 7" (2007 Chainsaw Safety CS 028) SPLITTING HEADACHE combines the classic elements of West Coast punk /hardcore with the despondent sound of the Midwest early 80s sound. Six new songs about everything that’s not right in this world: and that’s just about everything!
TELLUSIAN - Scania 7" (2013 Pillowscars PIS005) After the expiration of technical hardcore band Crowpath, Tellusian now rise to prominence in the Malmö, Sweden metal scene. Though some applauded Crowpath's efforts to integrate their Dillinger Escape Plan-esque sound into Sweden's predominant melodic death metal, Tellusian should find their path less traveled, thanks to their Botch influences. Crowpath mates Erik Hall (drums) and Henrik Ivarsson (vocals) joined forces with guitarist/producer John Nilsson and bassist Robert Fuchs to record Scania, their two-song debut seven-inch. "Eight Years of Rest" sports the varied tempos and chord changes that made Botch's We Are the Romans an absolute classic, with dashes of the Fucking Champs' epicness. "Carnevále" is more brooding in sections, again with colourful progressions and an under-layer of Kiss It Goodbye's restive chaos.
WILLING FEET 7" (2011 Mercy Of Slumber MOS 003 / Peace And Quiet Recordings PQR-009) Raw brutal minimalist evil punk. In the vein of ILDJARN with a static hiss of noise. Totally aggressive and mean. Limited to 300 copies, split release with Peace and Quiet Recordings.
Item Condition:
The records are all new and unplayed. They have been languishing in distro boxes for years and have some edge wear (especially at the top) and minor corner bends. Price stickers (if any) are on the plastic sleeve, not the cover.
Some of these records come with download codes. Even though the codes have never been used, the website (like the band or the label) may be long gone.
