WOW. If you are a reggae collector you will know what a mega rarity this is. Anyone would be proud to have this in their collection. Whereas it would normally command a price well into the 3-figure range, due to some very tolerable condition issues I am starting this auction at a very affordable price.

This is an original Jamaican 1st pressing, on Lee "Scratch" Perry's Upsetter label. As you'll see, there is quite a bit of damage to the jacket. The original jackets were very thin and prone to damage. There is a large part on the front where a good segment of the printed artwork was torn away in the past to reveal white underneath. The back cover is fully visible but also what appears to be water damaged.

The LP has numerous markings, none of which majorly affect play. It has been professionally cleaned multiple times. There are a few stubborn white spots which fail to be removed, however they do not affect playback. I've heard multiple original Jamaican pressings of this over the years, and even the best condition copy doesn't sound much better than this - if you have any experience with the pressing quality of Jamaican plastic you will know what I am talking about.

Overall I will have to grade both the record and jacket as only G. It may be pretty horrendous visually, but it is still a very solid performer and a very enjoyable listen. The bass on this LP is unbelievable! You will be very proud to own an authentic original Bob Marley album. Keep in mind this is still fairly early in the wailers career - they are all very young and this is a very spirited recording with a lot of attitude! The naked militant woman on the cover should be an indication of that.
