LORRAINE GELLER AT THE PIANO
RARE & COLLECTIBLE JAZZ LP
A highly collectible album featuring Lorraine Geller, a must for the serious jazz collector.
This is an album from an extensive collection of early jazz albums that I will be selling for a Vermont client, so look back often to take advantage of a wonderful collection.
I take a lot of pictures as they tend to show the condition better than I can describe them. Be sure and check out the pictures and ask for more if there is something specific you want to see.
This is the original 1959 USA issue and would be a nice addition to your collection.
RECORD - graded a VG to VG+
has light scatches and scuffs (can't feel with fingernail) that don't effect the listening experience. Each side has a small bump at the beginning of the first track on either side - there is no noticeable music loss or deflection in sound because of these small bumps (approx 5mm) - I have shown an extreme close-up of side 2 to highlight this.
black labels are solidly attached with some minor wear around hole. The runout areas have the correct etchings (see pictures)
This album plays great with no distortion, skipping or other major audible defects. There is an occassional light surface noise (dust/static noise) but never anything that interferes with the music quality.
COVER - graded a VG
no shrinkwrap - small price sticker in top left of front cover - no writing on the cover - bottom and top seams split 3 1/2" in from opening - some smaller seam splits on top - opening edge has some chipping and corner wear (see pictures) - some corner bumping (see pictures)
CLEANING
I do a cautionary cleaning only, some light brushing with an approved audio carbon fiber brush and minimal use of audio cleaning solution if warranted. I do not professionally clean my records, I leave that up to the new owners.
GRADING
I utilize the industry standard for grading, Goldmine's, and I tend to grade conservatively.
PACKING
All records are shipped outside their covers, in new sleeves, packed between 2 sturdy corrugated cardboard flats and mailed in an approved record mailer.
