LED ZEPPELIN Led Zeppelin I (Atlantic SD 8216) RARE US 1972 in Shrink UNPLAYED!
RARE 1972 US pressing of Led Zeppelin`s seminal debut album, "Led Zeppelin I" on Atlantic Records (January 1969). Large "ROCKEFELLER PLAZA" lettering on the record labels, as well as the suffixes (ST-A-681462 PR) clearly date this specific pressing to the year 1972.
As close as it gets to perfection other than still being sealed, this copy comes from my own collection. The album was bought sealed in the mid-seventies, opened and played exactly once. The record has been in storage for over 35 years. It is absolutely perfect.
"Jimmy Page, around whom the Zeppelin revolves, is, admittedly, an extraordinarily proficient blues guitarist and explorer of his instrument's electronic capabilities. Unfortunately, he is also a very limited producer and a writer of weak, unimaginative songs, and the Zeppelin album suffers from his having both produced it and written most of it (alone or in combination with his accomplices in the group). (...) In their willingness to waste their considerable talent on unworthy material the Zeppelin has produced an album which is sadly reminiscent of Truth. Like the Jeff Beck group they are also perfectly willing to make themselves a two- (or, more accurately, one-a-half) man show. It would seem that, if they're to help fill the void created by the demise of Cream, they will have to find a producer (and editor) and some material worthy of their collective attention."  - John Mendelsohn, Rolling Stone Magazine - March 15, 1969.

eBay`s maximum shipping cost for the US is predetermined at $4. Obviously, the pricing system  does not foresee foreign sellers listing in the US. However, we cannot possibly ship a record from  Europe at this price. By purchasing, the buyer agrees with the mailing costs as outlined above.
