Originally released in 1996, Interstate 8 was Modest Mouse’s second EP, and has become something of a holy grail among the cult indie hero’s fanbase.
Now, the long out-of-print record is finally being reissued, and thus made available to those outside the hardcore band of collectors and folks with bottomless pockets.
A half-and-half affair, the EP itself is split between studio recordings and Live in Sunburst Montana: the group’s very first set of demos, recorded in Isaac Brock’s Washington garage.
