Originally released in 1999, this self-titled debut album was the first showcase of American trio Le Tigre’s combination of pop music and feminist lyrical stance.
Led by riot grrrl icon Kathleen Hannah, the record melded a punk attitude with fun electronic samples and lo-fi beats, and is now regarded as something of a cult classic.
Now with a new generation of feminist thinkers in the offing, the record is receiving a timely vinyl reissue.
