RARE UK first pressing of Eric Clapton`s "return-to-form" live album, "Rainbow Concert" on RSO/Polydor Records (September 1973).
The concert was held at the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park, North London on January 13th, 1973. The two Rainbow gigs heralded the return of Eric Clapton out of heroin-induced isolation and inactivity with the help of a star-studded cast including Pete Townsend (guitar), Steve Winwood (organ, vocals), Ron Wood (guitar), Ric Grech (bass) and Jim Capaldi (drums). Includes stellar versions of Cream`s "Badge", the Traffic classic "Pearly Queen", as well as Clapton`s own interpretation of Jimi Hendrix` timeless "Little Wing".

GRADING:
EX+ COVER in very fine overall condition. Please see photos for details.
- Unlaminated gatefold sleeve with no edge or corner wear.
- A few handling creases to front and back of spine.
- Also comes with the original, first-pressing inner sleeve, date-stamped "73/9" (September 1973; at bottom right).

MINT- RECORD that looks absolutely unplayed!
- Perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- No hairlines, scuffs, spindle wear or any other visible signs of previous play at all!
- Original pink/beige RSO Records labels, "Marketed by Polydor Limited" in perfect condition.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "2394 116 A//4 Bilbo" and "2394 116 B//1 Kip".
- This record is hereby certified to be an original, very early if not first UK pressing of "Eric Clapton`s Rainbow Concert", issued in September 1973.
