Although it was not the last original Lp by The Beatles to be released ('Let It Be' appeared in mid-1970) this was the last Lp by the Fab Four to be recorded. It topped the UK chart for 4 months and in the States for 2.  For sheer songwriting excellence and audio sophistication, 'Abbey Road' is hard to beat. Amidst internal animosity and feuds, The Beatles shone one last time as a group, showing mastery at their craft most notably on Lennon's "Come Together", McCartney's "Golden Slumbers", and Harrison's "Here Comes The Sun" and "Something"; easily the 2 best songs on the album. 

The copy I am offering is a 1st Japanese pressing (AP-8815) from 1969.  I have heard many pressings of this legendary album and would have to rank the 1st Japanese and 1st UK (PCS 7088) as the best.  But I would have to give the edge to the Japanese copy because the vinyl used was of better quality....less prone to pressing anomalies and static. In Japan there was also a pressing released in 1969 on red translucent vinyl which I also consider to be excellent but unfortunately are harder to come by in decent playing condition.  Though it must be said that deciding which copy sounds "best" is somewhat subjective, I have based my decision on the fact that I have a UHQR test pressing of 'Abbey Road' and use this as my reference. 

Condition of Lp Jacket: Near Mint....beautifully preserved.....the use of heavier than usual card stock certainly helps.

Condition of Obi: Excellent-

Condition of Original black Inner-Sleeve and double-sided Lyric Insert: Near Mint-

Condition of Record: Near Mint......very difficult to find in this kind of condition. The weight of the record is substantial and displays a wonderful shine without any major distractions. Under strong light, faint hairlines and superficial marks are seen but have no bearing on the sensational audio. One of the best pressings of this album I've ever heard.
