Released in 1998, Big Calm was Morcheeba’s second studio album, and found them branching out from their rhythmic trip hop base.
With more time spent on songwriting, they successfully crafted a record where pop, lounge, film soundtracks, reggae, jazz and electronica could all coexist, in a mature yet hugely eclectic sonic palette.
Now, the LP is receiving a much needed vinyl reissue, making it attainable to a whole new generation of enthusiasts.
