The Velvet Underground & Nico LP on Verve (Stereo) from 1967. VG+ gatefold cover w/unpeeled banana in plastic wrap. This plastic wrap is such that the gatefold can still open. Probably not from the factory, but judging by the age discoloration, it's been on there for many years. It is however torn on the back (see photo). The banana is in such great shape. The cover itself has a half inch tear on the top seam, light corner wear and light general storage wear. VG vinyl w/many scratches, most of which are light, and some surface noise, particularly heavy during side 2.
NM (Near Mint) is the highest grade that I use for opened records. For
lower grades (EX, VG+, VG, and G), I will also describe what
disqualifies the record from being NM.
All records are shipped securely in plastic sleeves and professional
mailers with fillers. Vinyl and inner sleeve are removed from the cover
to prevent seam splits, unless the LP is still sealed.
