The Sex Pistols - Anarchy in Leeds 1976 (ANIL76)
This is an extremely rare vinyl featuring an early recording of the sex pistols live at there most raw and energetic stage.
This has been played once since I would say it's in MINT condition. No surface scratches or tears to the sleeve!
I have only ever seen one or two of these sold before so grab a rarity!
Show info:
The concert was historic because it was the first night of the blighted Anarchy In The UK Tour including The Clash, Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers and the Damned (The Damned were replaced by the Buzzcocks after the Leeds gig). The concert was apparently immortalised by a bootleg LP called Anarchy in Leeds.
The concert came only days after the band's infamous appearance on Thames TV where, after goading by host Bill Grundy, the swearing, snarling group and its followers shocked the audience. Looked at again over this distance of time the encounter looks fairly tame and Johnny Rotten and company look more bored than anything else. The Sex Pistols infamous appearance on TV was then covered by several national tabloids and suddenly the country had a new trend to be outraged by - Punk Rock.
