Released in 2010, The Promise is a popular and acclaimed compilation from Bruce Springsteen. The record is drawn from previously unreleased songs drawing from the sessions which spawned one of his most popular LPs, 1978’s Darkness on the Edge of Town. The album also features one of the last appearances from Clarence Clemons before his death in June 2011. Clemons is featured on the song Save My Love, which was the only track completely re-recorded by Springsteen and the E Street Band for the project.
