'Other Voices' was the first Lp released by The Doors without singer Jim Morrison. It was released in the Fall of 1971, barely 4 months after Morrison's death and as can be expected, had a lot to live up to. Not just because Morrison was such an enormous part of the band but because their previous album (LA Woman) was so unexpectedly good. The reviews for 'Other Voices' were mixed. I personally love this album and consider several songs to be on par with some of the songs from LA Woman. The copy I'm offering is a White Label Promo/DJ copy and the sound quality is superb. It is easily the best pressing of this album I've heard.
Condition of Gatefold Jacket: Excellent(+) .....as can be seen from the photos I've uploaded, there is a rare Elektra Records Promo sticker affixed to the front cover as well as a promo hole punch...definitely a 1st pressing. Some minor wear to the edges and spine as well as some rubbing and discoloration due to aging....but all in all, a solid example of this jacket.
Condition of Record: Near Mint(-) ....the record is in beautiful condition displaying high gloss and barely any blemishes. It has a very, very slight warp which barely affects the 1st song from each side. Believe me, if it were more serious than that I wouldn't be offering it. The audio on this record is fantastic...clear, powerful and distortion-free.
