Comments: Though Chiano was a bongo player, he only gets limited exposure for his trade, except for the intro on the B-side. A-side is a novelty up-tempo instrumental rocker. Set to a fast beat there is a torrid sax on the lead, interrupted by a chipmunk sounding pygmie. My preference is for the more fluid B-side, another up-tempo sax rocker, where that sax-man steps aside midway while the guitarist takes a longish solo. It has a solid back-beat and a tinkling piano in the backing band.
Provenance: This copy was part of Doyle, New York’s legendary auction of Detroit DJ Tom Knight’s record collection back in Feb 2000.
