Here is a rare chance to grab a pressing from "Opening Day" of Third Man Records Cass Corridor Pressing Plant. February 25, 2017 marked the grand opening, to the public, of TMR's brand new state-of-the-art vinyl production facility. The idea was to press a select few special releases dear to Jack White that focused on the music of Detroit. These pressings signify the very first Records pressed at the facility and made available to the public, the record sleeves were silk-screened at the pressing plant and there was no shrink-wrapping of any of the albums. What you see in the photos is exactly how it was made available to the public. The discs have never been removed from their inner sleeve or played.
You are bidding on the Stooges "Self-Titled" album with a second lp of rare alternate mixes from the sessions. This pressing was only made available for opening day - every record sold out on opening day and there will be no other pressings of this version. Not only does this make for a remarkable Stooges rarity, but is also a memento to a historical day for music enthusiasts.
The albums have not been removed from their inner sleeves. I have not played the material - You will be the first to remove and play the discs. I will pack using professional packing materials.
