I have devised the following Grading system.

GRADING

Excellent (Ex)

Cover – shows signs of minor wear & creasing

Record – slight superficial marks that do not affect play

Very good (V.G.)

Cover – normal wear & tear on the cover, light ring wear for example

Record – shows marks & light scratches that do not have a major effect on the sound quality

Good (G)

Cover – has scuffing of edges, ring wear, large split spine etc

Record – mild scratches may distort the sound quality
