Miles Davis, Complete Plugged Nickel Recordings, Mosaic 10LP Box, Like NEW #2189 of 5000

I know I have not played all the LPs in this set.  I keep notes on when I play things so I can tell how much use they have had.  My notes show that I played LPs 1,3 and 6 sides A and B and side A of LP 7.  I may have played a side or three more and not noted it, but that would be unlike me.  You may or may not believe my record keeping, but the spine does not lie.  These sets came in a box that has essentially a paper hinge for a spine.  If you play these sets regularly it does not take long for the spine to show wear, cracks and rips.  This one is perfect, you can’t tell it from new, not a finger print on it (or any other part of the set).

If you look at the pixs, you’ll see some white marks along the bottom edge of the cover. They are not scratches.  It seems to be that the edge where the glue holds the picture on has started to roll up.  It is not from wear, just time.

If you want a sealed copy of this set and can’t find one, this is so close that you’d never know the difference. (I’m not even sure these came sealed from Mosaic)

I have habit of buying things for a day in the future when I have better table, arm and cartridge.  My 25 year old VPI with the Sumiko arm and cartridge(s) from back in the day is in great shape and it sounds fine, it’s just that I have been saving a lot of vinyl for the day when I buy that 10K rig of my dreams.  I know that is not healthy or logical, but it is what it is.  I don’t think the new table is coming any time soon and life is just too busy.  I don’t play the LPs that I have and I keep buying more…

ALSO NOTE: My scanner is not as young as it once was.  It sometimes leaves what appears to be a white ghost line or two when I scan things to list them.  You can see it on some CDs and paper items.  That is not the crease I disclaimed in the previous paragraph.  You can see the difference clearly.  I just don't want you to think the scanner ghost is another flaw in the item(s).  It also has a habit of leaving dust spots.  If you’re curious if it’s spot of dust or not, just send me a question.
