A landmark in many senses, 2000’s Like Chocolate For Water Pressed was Common’s big commercial breakthrough, and what’s more marked the formation of the acclaimed Soulquarians collective.
Despite it’s success, it was an LP which showed little compromise in the lyrical department; it’s stark, socially conscious content even prompting Spin to call it his “most aggressive and powerful record yet.”
Pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl, this Back to Black reissue also comes with a code entitling the buyer to an MP3 download of the entire album.
