We Take Care In Our Packaging

At Dads Records we understand that the packing of your records is of utmost importance, that's why we refuse to spare any costs on the packaging.  You can take comfort in the knowledge that we do not send out anything without at first assuring that it will get to you in the exact condition it leaves our unit.

New Records Uploaded EVERY Week

We try to upload new content every week and what you see in our store is merely the tip of the iceberg.  With over 100,000 records and roughly the same amount in CD's, you can probably appreciate the monumental task ahead of us.  Unlike other dealers, we grade and photograph EVERY record/CD we upload.  What you see is EXACTLY what you get.  There are no stock images here at Dads Records.

So, we encourage you to bookmark our store so that you do not miss when we upload an album by your favourite artist/band.

Our Grading System Explained

While most of our customers agree with our grades, we realise it is a subjective issue and opinions differ.

When differences occur we will do our best to resolve any differences in opinion.

M (Mint): Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in perfect condition.

Nm (Near Mint): In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents nearly perfect.

Ex (Excellent): Shows some signs of being played, light marks,  but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG+ (Very Good Plus): Better than Very Good: Obviously been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite some surface marks and light scratches. Some wear and tear on cover and contents, as in corner/edge/ring wear, without any major defects though.

VG (Very Good): Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and light scratches. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.

Gd+ (Good Plus): Better than Good: Sound quality has deteriorated but with no distortion. Some scratches and occasional more noticeable scratches that can be felt. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges but not spine splits or discoloration.

Gd (Good): Sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.

F (Fair): Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

P (Poor): Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
