Box #1 (10 Vinyl LPs) of The Beat The Boots series of former Frank Zappa bootlegs, personally selected by FZ's staff and re-mastered (more or less) by FZ for release on the EMI/Rhino/Foo-Eee label. This box is mostly Mint (see next paragraph per 1 Issue)- All disks (except 1 - see next paragraph) appear to be unplayed. Jackets and outer box are in Mint condition. The pop-up Mothers In-concert diorama and (unworn) Beat The Boot T-shirt are in excellent shape (illustrated by underground comic and bootleg cover artist William Stout).
All albums are in Mint condition except for Side Four of the Anyway The Wind Blows LP. There is a 1/16" radial scratch on side 4 (this is a double LP) which, on playing, is not audible (I did play the affected track, Peaches En Regalia, to confirm this). But that disc must be categorize as VG+ for that reason. The remaining sides (1 through 3) and the other 8 discs are otherwise Mint., Please contact me if you want to see an image of the "spot".
Hype Sticker - The hype sticker (as shown in the box image) IS NOT ATTACHED to the box. It is separate and was cut away from the original shrink wrap upon opening and is included.
Titles Included are: Anyway The Wind Blows (2 LPs Paris '80); Saarbrucken 1978 (2 LPs); Piquantique Stockholm 1973; 'Tis The Season To Be Jelly (Sweden 1967); Unmitigated Audacity (Notre Dame 74); Freaks and MF's (Fillmore '70); The Ark (Boston '68); As An Am (Koln 82, NYC 81).
