On offer is Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' as released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL 1-017)  in June of 1979.  Most collectors will know by now that there were in fact 2 versions for this release.  The earlier (and more desirable) pressing can be easily distinguished by the non-italicized "Original Master Recording" banner at the top of the gatefold jacket.  Also significant because they assure collectors and audiophiles that they were pressed and manufactured from an earlier run.  Having heard just about every version and format for this album (including the very 1st UK pressing), I can honestly say that this first issue half-speed mastered vinyl release by MFSL, is the best representation of this timeless classic I've ever heard.  I even prefer it to the more expensive and elaborate UHQR pressing because to me it simply had more clarity and more pronounced  mids and highs and overall better mastering.  Stan Ricker is credited for mastering both;  but upon playback the difference to my ears was striking and somewhat surprising.   
Condition: Brand New/Factory Sealed.   Inoffensive 2" seam split at middle of bottom edge and the start of a 1" seam split at top edge. This was undoubtedly caused by the tightly constructed gatefold jacket. A very common occurrence with these early MFSL releases...this one has fared better than most I've seen.  This is a beautiful copy...and the only sealed example on ebay with the correct (smaller) hype sticker to the front, promo insert under wraps at the back,  and the non-italicized "Original Master Recording" banner at the top....all confirming an early pressing of this title.
