This one is mono and deep grooved 1st pressing of "The Jazz Message of Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, Horace Silver, Doug Watkins, John La Porta, Ronnie Ball, Wendell Marshall, Kenny Clarke".  Savoy Records MG-12064. The is an original issue from Savoy Records, issued in 1956, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "RVG" etched on the dead wax of both sides.

Hank Mobley (tenor saxophone), Donald Byrd (trumpet), Doug Watkins (bass), Wendell Marshall (bass), Horace Silver (piano), Ronnie Ball (piano), John La Porta (alto saxophone), Kenny Clarke (drums).

The vinyl plays NM on side A and VG++ on Side B due to some light background pops on Song No 2 and at the beginning of Song No.3.  Not distract.  Under the bright light, it looks VG++ with small non-feelable scuffs and hairlines. Vinyl is bright and glossy. "SAMPLE COPY, NOT FOR SALE" stamp on Side A Label. Some spindle marks.

Very nice music.

The cover is VG+.  Strong/No split. Wares and small paper losses on all corners. Dirt on the back and 2 "SAMPLE COPY, NOT FOR SALE" stamped on back.  The spine is intact and readable.

The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.

My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied.  And I will accept a free return.  Please bid with confidence.
