Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.

Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a 2 MIL poly inner sleeve.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

This is a First Pressing, Promotional Copy of the late, great Allen Toussaint's 1975 album "Southern Nights". The title track was written by Toussaint and became a No. 1 hit (Pop, AOR and Country) for the equally late, great Glen Campbell. "What Do You Want The Girl To Do" was recorded by Boz Scaggs, Bonnie Raitt, Vince Gill, Geoff Muldaur and Lowell George (Little Feat). Scaggs' and Raitt's versions charted. "Back In Baby's Arms" was a hit for the late, great Patsy Cline. Toussaint was an incredibly influential and prolific figure in  from the 1950s to the end of the century, described as "one of popular music's great backroom figures". Many musicians recorded Toussaint's compositions, including "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "Everything I Do Gonna Be Funky", "", "", "", and "". He was a producer for hundreds of recordings, among the best known of which are "", by his longtime friend the late, great  ("Mac" Rebennack), and "", by .
This copy has never been played. The Promo sticker is on the front cover and 'Promotion Not For Sale' is stamped on the disc labels. The single piece board cover has tight seams and shows slight storage wear. No splits. The inner sleeve is the Warner/Reprise Loss Leaders catalog on one side and the vintage Burbank photo on the other side. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve. This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Reprise in 1975. It has been in storage for 44 years.
