Here we have for sale 2 superb high quality Rhondo record cabinets from approximately 1934. The cabinets hold 50 records each and are completely full. Built in sleeves operate on a pivot system allowing records to be brought forward one at a time. Some of the records include recordings by ; Caruso, Gigli, Rubinstein, Tetrazzini, Tauber, Cortot, Barbirolli chamber orchestra, Stokowski etc etc.many other rare and interesting items,a snapshot of light and classical music of the period, don't think these items have been touched since before the war. There is even Jack Hylton playing Racmaninoff!! As a result of being stored this way all records are in immaculate condition.Original keys are present and the index cards are blank.Very original and untouched condition. I have tested many and they all play very well. A unique collection from the period 1925 to 35 There is an HMV complimentary record congratulating the purchaser on his choice of a new radio gramophone and also a racing game on a 78 disc a very interesting collection.Priced for a quick sale at a little over £1 each .The cases alone must be worth the asking price?I have never seen any others of this quality and condition.Reasonable offers considered.I am prepared to sell the cases without the records, price would still be £75,would then be possible to post.Postage probably around £20. Collection only due to fragility and weight.sorry can't post but each case weighs over 20kgs.
