RECORD CONDITION
We try and grade our vinyl condition on two separate aspects, the condition of the sleeve/cover and the condition of the record itself. Here is a summary of what the different grades mean:
Mint: Perfect condition to both the vinyl and the sleeve, possibly still sealed.
Near Mint: Looks as though it was barely played. No signs of wear to the record, sleeve possibly has minor signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): The record and sleeve show some signs of use, including slight wear to the sleeve such as turned up corners. The record has been owned by someone who took good care of it! There may be vague scuffs or scratches on the vinyl but these will not effect play. The sleeve may have stickers/signs of stickers from price labels etc.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise may be evident when playing, light scratches may slightly effect sound. The sleeve may have stickers/signs of stickers from price labels etc as well as creasing/signs of use.
Good (G) / Good Plus (G+) : Significant surface noise/scratching that will effect play. Visible groove wear. The sleeve may have all of the above issues and also have seam splits along the spine or show other signs of damage.
Poor / Fair: The record is cracked, badly warped, with lots of damage to the sleeve such as water damage. We rarely opt to sell records of these standards unless they are extremely collectible!
