Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.
This is a First Pressing of the Mono version of the original 1959 album. This album was recorded in MONO. Includes two of the late, great Bobby Darin's biggest hits, "Mack The Knife" and "Beyond The Sea". Pressed on the original ATCO Yellow Harp label. This was the first label for ATCO which was established as a pop subsidiary of Atlantic Records in 1955. The selection number (33-104) indicates this was one of the first 3 or 4 albums released on the ATCO label. The liner notes on the back cover include a telegram from Sammy Davis, Jr. and a message from Bobby Darin. The record shows a few blemishes that will cause some pops and clicks. The glossy, paper-on-board sleeve has tight seams with some edge wear lower left. The original cellophane inner sleeve is included. This is one of first LP's that the Seller ever owned. Bobby Darin nee Walden Robert Cassotto, was one of the very rare music icons who successfully reinvented himself several times and each time reaching new heights in popularity. He was a childhood fave of the Seller's. This one-owner has been in storage for 60 years.
