Tuxedo are the duo of Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One. What began as an exchange of mixtapes in 2006 became a full album's worth of tracks inspired by the likes of Chic, Shalamar, Plush and Zapp, all mixed by original disco don dada John Morales at his home studio in (where else?) South Plainfield, New Jersey. Available here on vinyl. 2015, Stones Throw.
