Classic Ska  - first album from The Specials   -  " Specials". Circa 1979.

Presented on the  2 Tone recording label, Catalogue number CDL TT 5001. Stereo.

The Outer  Sleeve:

Remains in very good  condition showing only minimal signs of ageing by way of minor buffering to the outer edges,the front cover has benefitted from a laminate surface. (please see photo’s).

The inner sleeve is a standard  factory pressed paper based insert -and is in good  condition.

The Vinyl:

Presents on both sides with a very good glossy sheene.

Side One:

A close visual examination under bright lighting conditions reveals several very light and random but visible surface hairline marks and several lightly based surface scratches, importantly, I have played this side and on my audio equipment the sound reproduction is of good quality and faithful notwithstanding the marks I have mentioned. As with any vinyl - even new, one can detect the occasional crack and pip consistent with hard to detect surface marks or dust in particular in between tracks and on quitter sections of music - evident in particular on intro's and play off's

Certainly no jumps or skipping throughout side 1.

The label is clean and intact.

Side Two:

A close visual examination under bright lighting conditions of side two again reveals several very light and random but visible surface hairline marks and several lightly based surface scratches, there is a scratch mark that spans across tracks three and four that is visible (I have managed to detail this on the photo's) - importantly though, I have played this side as well and on my audio equipment the sound reproduction is again of  good quality and faithful. As I have previously mentioned, with any vinyl - even new, one can detect the occasional crack and pip consistent with hard to detect surface marks or dust in particular in between tracks and on quitter sections of music - evident in particular on intro's and play off's

Again, there are no jumps or skipping throughout side 2.

The labels are intact and clean.
